Stitching from stash

So far, so good - I have spent only $2 for floss. The whole month I was working on two projects only; the horse and a February ornament. It was a slow month for my stitching and I did not accomplish much...  I hope I'll be more productive in March.

I've lost my stitching assistant

My handsome ZoomZoom yesterday crossed the Rainbow Bridge to the pets heaven. I always thought that he will outlive all my furry babies, he was such an athlete. Jumped high, never missed his target. Played soccer with the thread heaven or raced with my floss.

In the last few days he has lost his appetite, blood work revealed that he had belly full of cancer. His kidneys, pancreas and liver were shot...I had to make a heart aching decision and I miss him terribly... I know he is not in pain anymore and plays with Topaz somewhere in the sunny meadows...

Hermitting and stitching

As every third weekend of the month I was in my little stitchy kingdom, away from the whole world. I wish I could stay a little longer there and stitch some more... I was working on the horse and, despite my pledge of working on one project only, I started an ornament from Prairie Schooler 'February'. Here is the progress on both pieces:

Grow your blog - we have a winner!

and the winner is...

Congratulations my dear!

It was an awesome event, thank you Vicki for organizing this party. There were so many blogs participating this year and I would love to visit each and every one. This is still work in progress...

WIPocalypse update

It's a full moon which means is a time for WIPocalypse update.

A long, long time ago I was 'one project at the time girl' but then I'd been bitten by a startits bug and my pile of WIPs (work in progress) and UFOs (unfinished objects) grew so large that I'm having trouble counting them... This year I've joined Mel's Stitch from Stash event and so far I'm keeping up. I had my Crazy January Challenge but after that I'm trying to get back to my old habits - working on one project until is finished.

This month I'm faithfully stitching my horse and I will not stop until is done. Here is my progress:
When is done I would love to finish this piece as a wall hanger and hang in my office.  I even have a spot for him already!

And I want to share with you my lovely Valentine swap with Shari. She sent me a box full of gifts
after unpacking this is what I found
